Can a sea exist without blue? VERDIGRIS reimagines the concept of seawater on an entirely new level, shifting it from the ocean to the land. Here, the sea is born at the intersection of sky, air, and sunlight.

Verdigris is the color of the patina that forms on copper surfaces. This noble green, streaked with shades of grey, evokes the image of sea salt carried by ocean winds and settled upon the rooftops of Mediterranean homes. In this composition, the classic freshness of citrus fruits has been deliberately moved into the background. Where proud Italian lemons and oranges would normally take center stage, they serve here as a subtle supporting act.

VERDIGRIS deconstructs the classic chypre structure and brilliantly reassembles its traditional elements. A silky bouquet of flower, freesia, rose, and mignonette, is dusted with spicy nuances of nutmeg and coriander. Against this backdrop, shimmering calone appears transparent, almost white. Not sweet, but savory. Expressive, yet not overtly woody. Ethereal, yet resonant.
